Public Relations Education Landscape in Malaysia


The Faculty of Communication & Media Studies and the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia Student Association (IPRMSA - final year students) will gather public relations experts, academicians, students, practitioners, government regulators, IPRM members, and prospective employers to explore issues on the "Public Relations Education Landscape in Malaysia". The seminar is set to take place on October 22, 2008 at UiTM International Centre in UiTM Shah Alam. The seminar aims to showcase and discuss the current status of public relations education in Malaysia and other issues related to it.
In conjunction with the seminar, the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM) will officially launch the IPRM Public Relations Educators' Chapter, a group which is represented by lecturers from the various universities and colleges teaching Public Realtions programmes, and the primary objectives of the chapter are to improve and standardize the Public Relations programme curriculum in Malaysia, as well as promote research and publications in the field.
